Shea Butter provides all the essential vitamins needed to make skin look and feel smoother, softer and most importantly, healthier. Its therapeutic properties protect the skin from wind, cold, sun and it helps heal wounds faster. Shea Butter stimulates cellular activity, fights the effects of aging and repairs rough, damaged skin.

I love this stuff. I now recommend it for everything: dry skin, acne, bug bites, and a hair conditioner.

    Must. Have. More.

It’s very moisturizing, and it’s going to last a long time. Discolorations are fading too.

I used to use Johnson and Johnson Purpose Lotion, but, I wanted something more natural. You can’t go wrong with using this as a moisturizer. The smell is almost like raw clay or Play Doh, but please don’t let that deter you. Your skin will glow, and you can use this all over your body to moisturize. This also gives your skin a nice even tone and smoothes out the blemishes.

Great product, and what a steal at only a few dollars for like a years worth of use if you use this every day all over your body.

(Note: I’m writing this review on behalf of my wife.)

This product has worked “perfectly” (her words) as a moisturizing lotion. She tried coconut oil before this, which was more oily and didn’t leave her skin feeling very moisturized once it absorbed in. The shea butter is a bit harder to spread at first (it’s the consistency of very stiff peanut butter when you first scoop it out of the tub) but it’s not slick-oily and it leaves her skin feeling much more moisturized.

There is a slight nutty smell to it (I’d call it ‘neutral’ – neither strongly pleasant or strongly unpleasant) that lingers after it’s spread on. We haven’t seen any of the transfer of yellow color that other commenters have complained about; perhaps different batches are more or less liable to transfer color, or something.

All in all, definitely the thing to try if other lotions/moisturizers aren’t working for you.
