I have tried everything to be able to style my hair. My hair is short and fine and this product works great. It doesn’t look shiny or greasy and it holds my hair all day. Great stuff!

It’s the best one I have found so far. Which means I’m still looking. I like that it is a thick paste. Keeps my hair from being so wavy. I would buy it again.

My husband uses the Crew fiber on his handle-bar mustache. It works great and keeps the shape all day!

This product is just perfect for me. Gel didn’t really support my hair or give me the spiky look because it was “weak” and never held my hair high. This product can give you the perfect spiky or wavy look, and give your hair a fuller look as well. As someone with thick hair, the “wet-look” never really suited me. I like my wavy spikes, and I find that this stuff works best, particularly because it leaves your hair standing up but looking dry, not frizzy.

To use it, (always after a shower), I dry my hair with a towel first, then with a blow-dryer (on hot setting). I rub a SMALL amount between palms and scrounge it through the hair, making sure to apply it to the roots. Always use small amounts. I find that using too much weighs down hair in the long run. You add more only when you need it, after the base is set. Then switch your blow-dryer to cool (this locks the product in place) and run your fingers through and style while drying. You wanna make sure you blow-dry the roots in the direction you want them to stay. You can also add small amounts to random sections if you like, to look more casual.

Keep in mind that this stuff is intended for moderately short hair. When I let my hair grow past 2-3inches I start using the Forming Cream, also by American Crew. They are similar: the Forming Cream gives hair a softer look and feel but the hold isn’t quite as strong.

One last thing: I’ve noticed that different shampoos/conditioners used directly before using this product DO have an affect on how your hair turns out after styling. Try experimenting with different products until you find one that looks best for your hair style. The one that works best for me is Axe 2:1 shampoo/conditioner and the Axe (Lure) Conditioner.

    Never be afraid to experiment!!

I enjoyed this product very much. It’s great for long or short hair. Smells great, feels great, and has very little shine. It does not leave your hair greasy like other creams. My only problem is that I wish the hold was a little stronger. I will be buying it again.
