    I have used Daily Conditioning Treatment for 13 years. In the past two years, it hasn’t been easy to find. I recently talked to the pharmacist at our local Walgreens, and she said that Walgreens corporate office had decided not to carry it anymore. I went into panic mode, because I love everything about DCT. I searched high and low for a similar product to no avail. I like the texture, it stays on well, and it has an SPF of 20.

    I finally decided to search Amazon.com, and THANK GOODNESS they had it. So I bought two boxes! I am a happy customer.

    This product is hard to find in the stores but I was able to buy a years supply or more through this seller. Excellent buy and good seller!

    I live in the desert. I used to carry my little jar of DCT everywhere I went. I always made sure my purse was nearby, or put my DCT in my pocket if I was going for a walk or someplace I couldn’t take my purse. I couldn’t stand being away from my lip balm for more than an hour because my lips would dry out and I’d need to apply more. It felt so good going on, I figured it was the only thing keeping me from chapped lip disaster. The fact that it had sun protection just made it all the better.

    Then, I learned about phenol. Phenol is a chemical that has been used for everything from enbalming to execution. It burns skin in high concentrations, and dries it out in lower concentrations. You can read all about it by googling “phenol”. It’s terrible stuff.

    So, why is phenol in DCT lip balm? I don’t know. It feels good going on, but then dries your lips so you need to keep applying it over and over again throughout the day.

    I found a different lip balm that contains even higher SPF, but doesn’t contain phenol. There are several brands if you look at the labels. I now only need to apply my lip balm about three times a day. This is a huge difference for me, as I used to apply DCT every 30 to 60 minutes.

    If you love DCT, think about how much you use it. If you are applying it frequently, perhaps it isn’t working as well as you think it is. Perhaps it is good for initial healing, but I will no longer use it to prevent chapped lips. It causes them!

    This is a staple. Best at what it does, great smell, the tub lasts forever and it has a 20spf. Perfect. Thanks for making it available online :)

    I’ve been using DCT for about 10 years and I love it!

    I use some pretty harsh toothpaste that used to give me a chapped dry mouth. I tried a lot of lip balms (including Blistex) and none of them seemed to help. DCT did the trick. No gross taste. Using DCT after brushing in the morning and at night is all I need for the day.
