    As we know these are expensive flat irons – I dropped mine after a few months and the plastic on/off piece came out – I got it on with a paper clip then after the next drop off the vanity – that was it – Never worked again – It was good while it worked -

    I’ve bought three Chis directly (brand new) from Amazon over the past three years. I use it about twice a week, and had one die on me each year. I thought maybe it was just bad luck after the first time, and maybe even the second, but several friends of mine have had the same experience. I finally wised up and bought the Metropolis on Costco.com (only $63 too). it’s wonderful! My hair is much smoother, and it has a temperature adjustment. Don’t waste your money on a Chi.

    My hair isn’t really curly or anything, sometimes it’s dead straight. But when I have a few kinks and waves, it takes about 3 minutes to straighten out with this straightener. I love it!
