I highly recommend this hot air brush. This is my standard work horse. This is the third one I have bought over ~ 12 years. I need this to dry my hair effectively!

I have black, wavy, thick hair that holds water like a sponge: sometimes mid back and sometimes just below shoulders length. It reaches “Rose Anne Rosannadana” appearance (In fond memory of dear Gilda Radner…)if I don’t use this hot hair curler.

I have traveled several times internationally successfully with this(using the country specific plug adapters).

I dry the under layer of my hair a bit with a blow dryer first. I like to use a pea sized bit of Redken Glass 01 or Kiehl’s Silk Groom Serum prior to drying to get a silky/ shiny hair texture that holds the style softly. On high, I pull it through my hair somewhat tightly throughout its length, turning under the ends as I dry it. If you don’t have the coordination with a brush and regular blow dryer, as a hairdresser does, this is the hot air styler for you!

After ~ 5 years I find that my current one is stalling a bit mid hair drying/styling, so it’s time to buy another one. The 1 1/2 inch attachment has rigid plastic “bristles” rather that the ineffective (for me) boar bristle brushes that the little ~1″ attachment has. I find that these rigid “bristles” are mandatory to get my hair dried and nicely smooth.

Conair makes a white / purple cheaper version, but it is not dual voltage and looks like it has boar brush bristles.

I can’t seem to find this anymore in the stores. Amazon seems to have the best price including the free shipping. I hope this review helps you make your decision!

This product is like a toy. After using it twice, the switch broke. You couldn’t turn from high to low to off. Once you plug the thing in, it just starts blowing in one mode.

I had owned a Conair Hot Air Curling combo for more than 10 years and LOVED it! So I was really upset when mine was damaged by baggage handlers in route from a trip to Vegas. So I got on Amazon and started looking for a replacement and was very happy when I easily found one! I am very pleased with my new hot air curling brush as it is the only way I can control my unruly hair! I would recommend it highly!

Had looked high and low for several years hoping to find my second Conair Curling Combo. The one I have is a decade old and slowly wearing down. The new one offers a brush attachment which is great for using on the top and sides and the larger one is just right for the back. My only complaint is that the cord is noticeably shorter on the new one.

This is my second purchase of this same item. I purchased it when it was first out on the market and after many years of satisfaction with this dryer/styler it was lost along with my luggage on a cross-country flight. I waited in hopes that I would at least get some of my belongings back…but to no avail. Truth be told…I missed my dryer more than anything else I lost. So, as with so many items I cannot find in stores, I turned to Amazon, and they didn’t dissapoint me! Found the item…priced fairly, and ordered it immediately! It arrived promptly, in great shape…and now, unlike the airlines, Amazon was able to replace part of my morning ritual. Some have reviewed it as being to passive in its drying…and I would agree. It is best used to style semi-dry hair. If youre in a hurry, use this item in tandem with a hand held dryer…I just let my hair dry a bit before using it. For me, it straightens my unruly wavy hair in a flash and smooths it nicely. It gives my hair volume and shine without alot of production, and without having to use 2 hands to style (I’ve yet to master the round brush and hand held dryer mystery) Anyway, for me it is an essential part of my morning ritual…and I am glad to have it back!!
