1. I have never used hard wax before. It was different than waxing strips…and in some ways i liked it. But if you get wax on you and don’t rip it off right away its impossible to get off the hair. I like the warmer and other prodcuts ok, but just don’t think its very reasonable to wax oneself. If someone could help or do it, then it would be worth it.

2. I love this. It worked wonders and was fairly easy to figure out. I liked that it came with an instructional DVD, but would have liked it better if it came with an instructional manual. It was a pain to go through the whole DVD just to find out how long the hair should be to wax; but like I said it worked WAY better than expected.

3. Although the wax takes a little bit longer to warm up than I thought, I still think this is a great product. Once I got the hang of it, it was pain free and really easy to do. It even saves me a ton of money every month, since I can do it all myself now!

4. I approached is product with some skcepticism. I mean, c’mon, a Brazilian at home? It really did work! I love the hard wax method, just hair pull not skin tear. I haven’t had a Brazilian in 15 years and was pretty sure I didn’t want to go into a salon and embarrass myself. I accomplished all I needed in a short time. The DVD is explicit in an educational way, helpful but ohmygoodness. Watch it, it makes the process go more smoothly. My only negative (teeny tiny) is that this kit doesn’t include the other cool accessories shown in the DVD. Would have loved the guideline strip and some of the lotions, but I’m pretty happy with my outcome. So, me and my guy are happy with the results, I love getting several salon-type treatments for less than the price of one, and I accomplished it myself. Good luck!

5. I love this wax!!! I started waxing myself (brazilian) about a year ago. I have only ever used hard wax on myself. I have had an in salon brazilian wax done with strips before, and I must say that I prefer the hard wax. You definitely feel less sticky afterwards. The only other wax I have used is SurgiCare brazilian hard wax. I must say the GiGi’s brazilian hard wax is much better than SurgiCare’s. The reasons I say that is because SurgiCare wax is microwavable, which is nice, except that you have to keep going back to the microwave to heat it. With this kit, you get the wax warmer which keeps the wax at a good consistency once it has heated up. Just put the wax in the warmer for about 40min to an hour on a little past the medium mark. Once it is all heated turn it down to low, and your good to go. Another reason why I like this wax over SurgiCare is because SurgiCare wax tends to get a little sticky and hard to take off if you put it on too thick. I didn’t have that problem with this wax. Actually, this wax works better when you do have a good layer of wax. You don’t want to put it on thin because is will dry faster, and you don’t want it to get too dry because then it will not come off right. The application of the wax is the same. Once you get the hang of it, the time is takes you to complete the waxing will be shorter.
