    Buy the Panasonic ES8243!

Why shave over the same area 4 times to get a good shave? This razor really is a BIG step up from others I’ve owned. After 10 months, I’m looking to buy one for my 16 year old. I rarely write reviews, but this is a great product! Don’t compromise on a cheap razor.

    PRO’s

+ Razor head, not just the blades, adjust to my face. The spring action moves it up and down smoothly. It also swivels side to side, but you can lock it to be stiff.

+ Cut somewhat long hair going back-to-front on the blades and then a close shave going the normal front-to-back.

+ Get a grip that fits your hand and has textured, soft plastic to hold when wet.

+ Shave the back of your neck easily because of all the above.

+ Best trimmer I’ve owned on electric razors. It flexes without feeling flimsy. Nice cut too.

+ Cleaning is much easier than the old rotary razors I had. Hold the power and the head switches to a high vibration for a sonic-like clean with liquid soap and water. Easy to pop the top too.

+ Switches for power and the trimmer are placed for easy reach with your thumb.

+ Display tells you how much power is left.

+ Recharges very quickly and then flashes the display to tell you it’s at 100%. Holds charge long enough that I don’t take the charger on week-long trips.

    + Flat design packs easily.

+ Plug is thin enough to fit something in the plug receptacle next to it.

+ No pig tail cord that gets caught on itself, just straight wire.

    CON’s

    - My difficult neck spot still takes more than one pass to cut hair.

    - The display turns off quickly. Either look at it quickly or read before turning off.

    - My son wants mine.

Love this Panasonic ES8243A Razor. Used a Norelco razor for years, didn’t do that great a job, especially on my neck. The Panasonic cuts my beard as close as a safety razor and very quickly, am extremely satisfied. I recommend this razor for the cut and ease of cleaning.

This is not my first Panasonic wet/dry rechargeable shaver. While they’ve all been adequate to good, the 8243 is fantastic…the best Panasonic shaver by far!!!

I’ve had this shaver for about a month now. It has performed flawlessly. The shave is very close. With the built-in electronics, I see that the average time it takes me to shave is usually under 3:00. I strongly recommend this shaver.

I use this shaver exclusively for head shaving, though my wife recently picked it up and started using it on her legs.

I’m really pleased with it. I can shave my head fairly rapidly, as long as it’s not too long. I haven’t nicked myself ever with it. I get a shave that’s fairly close (close enough for a head), without any irritation.

I can’t speak for how it performs as a face shaver though, as I’ve only used it that way once and I was not terribly impressed. I didn’t give it a fair chance though.
